Sabah Baaaaaa

TTG went to Sabah last week! And what a trip it was!! We had lots of fun!! Well...yes the delegates had the most fun.

We went for YAWA's 6th International Childrens Conference on the Environment in Sandakan, Sabah. The base where everything was held and managed was at the ever beautiful Rainforest Discovery Centre or RDC in Sepilok. It was held from the 1st of June until the 5th. There were so many activities held, workshops, friendship groups, environmental theme night, culture night, fieldtrips to main attractions in Sandakan and so much more. All of the delegates were seperated into their own groups and activities were rotated among them. The field trips were Orang Utan sanctuary and rehabilitation centre alongside Sun Bears in Sepilok, Proboscis Monkeys in Labuk Bay, visting the fishermen's village at Sepilok Laut, tour around Rain Discovery Centre, and a visit to Sukau village and Gomantong cave. They were all very interesting trips and everybody had a lot of fun and learned a lot from the trips. So many exciting things happened.

Hahha. There's so much to say but I don't want it to be lopsided or anything. We all stayed at the Sepilok Jungle Resort. Since there were around 150 people for the event, we all were assigned to different locations to stay. It was okayyy there. breakfast sucked. We had to wake up at 5 every morning, have braekfast at 6 and leave with the bus by 7. Then we all go to RDC for activities.

Oh oh we have a conference song!! Haha it was a really good song I personally think. You wanna hear it?? Or at least read it's lyrics? Okay? Okay!!

Wasn't that awesome? Haha. Yeah it was. What else. I don't know really. So many things happened to so many people so let me just make a random list of things that happened.

-Nadhirah fell in L.O.V.E with her abang Najeem (very cute)

-Dani won best participant!

-And so did Anis! Woohoo our own TTG's.

-Dani won best environmental costume!

-Something very 18sx happened at the Labuk Bay Proboscis monkeys centre. Ergh.(afiq ada
record)

-The food there was nice but a bit different.

-Because we went back on the 6th and ICCE finished by the 5th, on that night, we all went to Aunty Zahara's friend's house for seafood dinner!! It was delicious. And we had a toastmaster meet later after that, TTG'iers managed to impress everybody there and we got gifts. =]

-We were so late for the flight to Sandakan, the waiting area was empty when we arrived.

-Sepilok Jungle Resort was really beautiful in the mornings. Really. The place was nice.

-Everybody was nice!!

-The boys room was reaaaallllllyyyy smelly okay. Like until Megatron stage (transformers fever)

-TTg have adopted an Orang Utan!!

-So did Ismael, whose orang utan's name is Ceria.
